San Diego California NA Car Insurance Question
Readers Question:
My name is Shane and I’ve got my driving license in California last year. The thing, I used to stay at home and seldom go out. I don’t have a car either and sold my greatest possession for some reasons. I don’t drive any of my family’s cars either because I am living alone here in my pad. I’m wondering what kind of car insurance I need to get in San Diego, California.

Hi, Shane! You don’t actually need auto insurance if you don’t have a car or you’re not driving at all. Even if you were driving one of your family’s cars in San Diego, California, you are entitled for the insurance coverage of the car owner. Every licensed driver in household should be listed on the policy so there’s nothing to worry. But the fact that you have said you are not living with your family, there’s no reason for you to get auto insurance.
Your driving license doesn’t have anything to do with your need to be insured. Your car does! You only get driving license to be permitted to drive in public roads but not because you have it, you need to get auto insurance even though you don’t have a car. He might have the same questions and please relay this matter to him.
